Meet the Rogue Warriors
Harper Barnes-Lewis is a curious and determined teenager dedicated to revealing the truth behind the death of her parents. Without realizing it, she discovers something bigger than her and joins The Rogue Warriors, a group of enhanced individuals trying to survive a common enemy, Triad. As the "new kid" of the group Harper has to learn how to survive her new reality and outsmart the dangers surrounding her. Thankfully, she's not alone on this journey, she has Echo, a man-made biological weapon created for enhanced individuals or Metas to improve their supernatural abilities and become super soldiers. With Harper's mind reading abilities and Echo's adaptive biological makeup, they make one powerful team.
When Harper's not going on missions or escaping mad scientist, you can find her hanging out with Beckett and Rook or writing her many adventures in her journal.
As a literal slice of sunshine, Beckett is the local optimums and go-getter of The Rogue Warriors. Not much is known about Beckett's past, but his future is pretty bright. Going to high school, making new friends, and joining the lacrosse team is the only thing on Beckett's mind, but when life gives you lemonades, you create a team of 7 misunderstood and psychotic teens. Although it's Beckett's dream to be a part of a team, his desire is to be like any other normal teen.
You can find Beckett playing dollar store video games or reading comics when he's not training or being nagged by his big sister Emily.
Emily Ravage is the leader, big sister, and group mom of The Rogue Warriors. Her cold demeaner and blunt honesty is the complete opposite of her little brother Beckett. Although they don't share the same blood, Emily and Beckett treat each other like family; and their little family just got a whole lot bigger. With this many teens living in the same space, someone had to become the leader. Emily takes her role as leader seriously, scheduling training, missions, and the occasional road trip; someone has to keep these teens alive not to mention keeping a low profile from Triad. Emily is willing to do anything to protect her family even if it means not being the hero.
Emily doesn't have to many hobbies, but she does enjoy educating herself and Beckett in between missions.
Rook Vancure is not your ordinary girl but an alien from another planet?! Rook is your local alien found in the basement of The Rouge Warriors base of operations; how did she get there? No one knows, but what we do know, is she's a vital asset to the team. Rook is the brains of the team, her natural curiosity and enhanced intellitec make her stand apart from her Meta counterparts. However, Rook still needs guidance and advice when it comes to learning about her new home. Looks like she's going to be here for a while.
Rook loves to learn more about Earth customs and history from Beckett and Harper but she yearns for home, although, it looks like a certain blonde sun starter might change her mind.
Obi Abara, tall, dark, and dangerous? Nah, Obi's the quite muscles of The Rogue Warriors. His quiet and sweet demeanor is the complete opposite of his reputation in the Meta world. Known for his bloody and dark past, Obi aims to change hearts and minds about who he really is, a lost boy looking for his mother. With the team by his side, Obi is able to express who he really is and make a difference. But the past always catches up to you, no matter how far you run.
Obi's past times consist of dancing with Harper or training with Emily, although, it seems of late he's been hanging out with Donnie more frequently.
Donatello Aramani or Donnie for short, is the local bad boy/playboy of The Rouge Warriors. But he wasn't always a part of the rouge warriors, for a long time, Donnie's been working with the Resistance, a large group of Metas hell bent on fighting Triad and saving young Metas. However, Donnie's journey is taking a turn and he's taking the wheel from here on out. With skills like Donnie's, there's no one better to have your back in a fight. Now if only he can get Obi to understand that it seems like Donnie's advances on him aren't working.
Donnie's usually watching his cooking shows or going on runs when there's nothing interesting to do.
Sofie Moffat wasn't always a part of The Rogue Warriors, she was actually the enemy working with Triad and other Metas just like her. Sofie didn't have the best childhood, but her adoptive mother tried her best to raise a daughter and killing machine. But that's all in the past, Sofie aims to gain the trust of her new team no matter how much she has to sacrifice. Underneath all the cold stares and sarcastic tones, is a kind and warm soul. Sofie is similar to Obi in that case, they both aim to change their futures, and it all starts by facing the past head on.
When Sofie's not trying to look prove herself to her teammates, she's hanging out with Rook, the only person who cares to know the real her. That or she's trying to get her powers under control, who knew Sofie could potentially generate as much energy as the sun.

Project: Opening "Show" Introduction
This project includes storyboard notes and animation test to create an opening sequence for The Rogue Warriors if it was a show. In this animation, I explore important key events that play out in the story, small frame by frame animation, special effects frame by frame animation, camera angels, and panel movements to capture the key elements of the story. Along with edited audio to capture the adventure and survival vibes of the overall plot.

This project includes the thumbnail exploration, storyboard notes, and assets for the animation. For this project, I wanted to animate the intimate relationship between two characters featured in The Rogue Warriors: Ben and Emily. In this animation, I explore detail backgrounds, character-based camera angels and shots, and special effects frame by frame animation to capture the moment they fall in love.
